Road Closures
In the interests of public safety it
is necessary each year for various
roads in the city to be closed on
Pageant morning to enable setting
up, the arrival of the huge crowds
and cleaning up after the event.
We appreciate the patience shown by the public using the roads on Pageant morning and to help you who support this iconic event, we hope the information here will help you plan your travel about the city on Pageant day.
The following roads will be closed for the following periods:
Friday 13th November
12 noon Friday 13th November (until 2.00 pm Saturday 14th November)
Kintore Avenue between Morgan Thomas Lane and North Terrace;
Saturday 14th November 2009
5.00 am - 1.00 pm
South Tce between Pulteney Street and Morphett Street;
King William Street between South Tce and Gouger street;
Peacock Road between South Tce and Greenhill Road
7.00 am - 1.00pm
Victoria Square/Tardanyangga in its entirety;
Wakefield Street between Victoria Square and Pulteney Street;
Pulteney Street between Bath Lane and Yorke Street;
Grenfell Street Between King William Street and Pulteney Street;
Currie Street between Peel Street and King William Street;
Grote street between Pitt Street and Victoria Square/Tardanyangga;
King William Street between Grenfell Street and North Terrace;
North Terrace between Station Road and Frome Street;
