Making Waves

At 8.45am on Saturday 8 November, the crowd gathered on the streets of Adelaide to watch the Credit Union Christmas Pageant had lots of fun as they tried to set the Guinness World Record for the largest Mexican wave.
Pageant Director Brian Gilbertson said, "South Australians came out in force and had a great time today. Although we didn't get the world record this time, we're looking forward to getting the community together to try again next year."
Chris Sheedy, the representative from Guinness World Records who was present on the day, said it was an awesome attempt, "and I'm confident that Adelaide could smash the record next year."
The current world record for the largest Mexican wave was set in August 2008 by 168,000 people in Bristol, USA.
We want your help to beat this record next year!
